Ravi Kishan shines at Dadasaheb Phalke Awards 2025; bags Best Supporting Actor for 'Laapataa Ladies' -

Actor Ravi Kishan has won the Best Actor in a Supporting Role at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2025 for his performance in the drama film ‘Laapataa Ladies’. The honour was announced on the official social media handles of the prestigious film festival. The event took place on October 30, 2025, at the NSCI Dome, SVP Stadium, Mumbai.

In his heartfelt statement as reported by Mid Day, Ravi Kishan expressed deep gratitude for the recognition. The ace actor dedicated the award to his parents, supporters, and spiritual guide Guru Gorakhnath Baba. The actor said, “I owe this award to the blessings of my parents, the love and support of my well-wishers, and the guidance of Guru Gorakhnath Baba. The constant inspiration I receive from Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath motivates me to keep striving for excellence.”

About ‘Laapataa Ladies’

Directed by Kiran Rao, ‘Laapataa Ladies’ starred Nitanshi Goel, Sparsh Shrivastava, and Pratibha Ranta in lead roles. The movie received decent reviews from the audiences and especially Ravi Kishan’s role received much praises. Etimes gave the film a rating of 4 stars out of 5 and we described Ravi Kishan’s acting as ‘Outstanding’.
