Etimes review for the Pranav Mohanlal starrer

The film has received praise for its eerie atmosphere and minimalist storytelling, hallmarks of Rahul Sadasivan’s filmmaking.Etimes rated the film 3.5 out of 5, writing, “A couple of gripes would be the predictability of the ending after the final arc, and a handful of unanswered questions — the latter perhaps by design. Dies Irae means The Day of Wrath, and while it has little to do with the actual plot, it lingers on the periphery.”The review highlights how Sadasivan, who earlier helmed Bhoothakaalam and Bramayugam, continues to rely on atmosphere, silence, and emotional dread rather than overt horror.
