SRK Day: Shah Rukh Khan joins fans for intimate birthday celebrations after cancelled Mannat appearance; watches 'King' teaser on big screen

Birthday boy, Shah Rukh Khan may not have been able to make his annual appearance at Mannat, but a few lucky fans were treated to a more intimate gathering with the superstar. On Sunday evening, the actor joined his fans at the private #SRKDay event for his 60th birthday. Photos and videos from the celebrations soon went viral online with fans taking to their handles to post the photos.

SRK makes a grand entry

A video from the event saw Khan making a grand entrance on stage. Rocking a beanie, he stepped out on stage smiling and waving to his fans, who could not contain their excitement as they cheered him on. Keeping his look simple and casual, he rocked a pair of jeans, a black tee and a white jacket.

SRK then took his seat on the stage and entertained his audience with a candid Q and A round. Photo saw him at his candid and cheery best as he responded to questions and spoke about various topics on life, movies and more.

SRK’s fan meet at Mannat gets cancelled

On Sunday, SRK offered an apology to his fans for cancelling the traditional fan meet. He wrote, “Have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me. My deepest apologies to all of you but have been informed that it is for the overall safety of everyone due to crowd control issues”.He further mentioned, “Thank you for understanding and believe me, I will miss seeing you more than you will. Was looking forward to seeing you all and sharing love. Love u all.”Khan on Saturday headed over to Alibaug, where he hosted an intimate 60th birthday celebration that saw his closest friends and family in attendance. The actor kicked off the celebrations with a midnight bash and kept the celebrations going all through Sunday.
