Farah Khan reveals Aryan Khan has been a huge fan of Rajat Bedi since childhood, ‘He was obsessed with his dialogue from Jaani Dushman’

Filmmaker Farah Khan recently visited actor Rajat Bedi’s home as part of her popular YouTube series, where she drops in on celebrity friends for a fun cooking session mixed with light-hearted banter and nostalgic gossip. During one such candid chat with Rajat, Farah shared a heartwarming revelation about Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan — the director of the hit web series The Ba***ds of Bollywood.

‘Aryan was obsessed with Rajat’s characters since childhood’

“I asked Aryan what made him think of you (Rajat) for the role of Jaraj Saxena in Ba***ds of Bollywood. Aryan told me that he had been a huge fan of yours since childhood and was obsessed, especially with your line, ‘Sabki izzat karenge toh loonege kiski,’” Farah recalled, referring to Rajat’s memorable dialogue from Jaani Dushman.Smiling fondly, Farah added, “Hearing all of this, I was happy that ‘humara ladka filmy nikla’ (Our boy has turned out to be filmy).”

Rajat, who has been living in Canada for several years, revealed that he was taken aback when Aryan’s team reached out. “I received a call from Aryan’s office saying that he wanted to meet me. I was blown and couldn’t believe that Shah Rukh Khan’s son wanted to meet me out of all people. I literally pinched myself,” Rajat laughed. Recalling their first meeting, Rajat said, “Aryan had himself come to receive me at his office. He personally looked after my comfort. I was blown over by his humility.” To this, Farah added with admiration, “Aryan is the most well-mannered boy I have seen.”

Known for his roles in Koi… Mil Gaya, International Khiladi, Hero: The Love Story of a Spy, and Jaani Dushman, Rajat Bedi was often typecast in negative or supporting roles during his Bollywood career.
