Unity Parade: Schoolchildren From Gujarat, MP And Rajasthan Unite In Pipe And Brass Band Tribute

On the occasion of the Unity Parade, schoolchildren aged 11 to 18 from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan delivered a stirring combined pipe and brass band performance that celebrated national unity and patriotic spirit. The programme featured prizewinning contingents including students from SGVP Droneshwar, Gir Somnath, and Shree Swaminarayan Kanya Vidya Mandir, Kutch, Gujarat, who led the musical sequence with disciplined marching and synchronised choreography. Audiences were treated to well-rehearsed renditions of classic patriotic melodies, including the timeless “Sare Jahan Se Accha,” arranged to highlight both vocal and instrumental talents. Organisers said the mixed pipe and brass presentation was designed to showcase cultural diversity while reinforcing a shared national identity among younger generations. Teachers and bandmasters supervised rigorous rehearsals, emphasising teamwork, precision and the values of civic pride. The children’s performance was received with enthusiastic applause from dignitaries and the public, and organisers noted that events like this play a vital role in instilling unity, discipline and respect for heritage in students. The segment concluded with a message encouraging greater participation of school bands in national ceremonies, reaffirming the role of youth in preserving India’s unity and cultural legacy.
