During today’s grand Vihangam Ekta Parade, the spirit of Ashtatva Ekatva, India’s unity in diversity, was powerfully displayed through the participation of elite forces and vibrant state tableaux. Leading the parade were the fearless commandos of the National Security Guard (NSG), known as the nation’s “Zero Error Force.” Marching under the theme “Tiranga hi hamari shaan,” the NSG contingent, led by Commandant Bhupendra Thapa, highlighted their advanced anti-drone and bomb-disposal capabilities and commemorated their historic missions, including Operation Black Thunder and the 26/11 Mumbai counterterror operations. Following them, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) contingent demonstrated its motto “Aapda Seva Sadaiv Sarvatra,” showcasing dedication, discipline, and bravery in disaster relief operations across earthquakes, cyclones, and floods. Behind the NDRF contingent, the tableau of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands depicted tribal heritage and the union territory’s progress in tourism and development. Gujarat’s tableau honored Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat,” highlighting the state’s cultural and architectural traditions. Maharashtra’s tableau portrayed Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s philosophy of Ashtatva Ekatva, the fusion of power, knowledge, and prosperity, while Puducherry’s presentation celebrated Indo-French architectural elegance and the spirit of self-reliance. Together, the formations embodied India’s unity, courage, and resilience.
