A major uproar broke out inside the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly today as BJP legislators stormed into the Well of the House demanding a discussion on flood relief measures. The chaos began when the Speaker denied BJP’s request to hold a debate on the issue, prompting the party’s MLAs to protest inside the Assembly. As tempers flared, BJP members clashed verbally with National Conference legislators, forcing marshals to intervene and escort several protesting MLAs out of the chamber. Visuals from inside the Assembly show scenes of shouting, slogan-chanting, and chaos as BJP leaders accused the government of avoiding crucial discussions that concern public relief and accountability. Despite the disruption, the proceedings of the House continued amid heavy security presence. BJP has accused the ruling government of neglecting flood-affected citizens and demanded the Speaker’s intervention and the government’s resignation over its alleged failure to provide adequate aid.
