Pakistan issued a strong warning to Afghanistan’s Taliban after peace talks in Istanbul collapsed, threatening to use only a fraction of its military power to crush the regime. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched his Bihar election campaign with sharp attacks on Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meanwhile, an Indian-origin businessman was shot dead outside his home in Abbotsford, Canada, in what police called a targeted attack.
