‘Thamma’ sees a huge drop on Friday

'Thamma' Vs 'Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat' box office day 4 (LIVE): The Ayushmann Khurrana film sees a huge drop on Friday, inches towards Rs 60 crore

This Diwali, one saw an unexpected clash at the box office. Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna starrer horror comedy movie ‘Thamma’ clashed with Harshvardhan Rane’s ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’. There’s been a huge difference between the number of screens given to both the movies. ‘Thamma’ occupied majority of shows in most cinemas across the country while the other film got lesser screens. However, despite that, ‘Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat’ has brought in some good numbers at the box office. On day 1 which is Tuesday, ‘Thamma’ made around Rs 24 crore. On day 2, it saw a drop and minted Rs 18.6 crore. Meanwhile on the third day, which is Thursday, it made Rs 13 crore. Friday has begun on a similar note as Thursday but there may be some growth in the night shows for both the movies. On day 4, ‘Thamma’ has made Rs 3.79 crore as per early estimates. The total collection of the movie so far, according to Sacnilk, is Rs 59.39 crore.
