Actors Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath have again landed in legal trouble after being named in a case of alleged cheating and breach of trust. Both actors, along with 22 others, have reportedly been booked in connection with a major investment fraud.

Complaint filed against 22 accused in Haryana

However, the dream of easy wealth soon turned sour. For the past year, investors have reportedly received no returns. Many agents and investors approached the police after realising something was amiss. Complaints were lodged at Baghpat Kotwali, and the number of victims has now crossed 500, with total losses estimated at around Rs 5 crore.

In July this year, the Supreme Court granted interim protection from arrest to Shreyas Talpade. Later, in September, Alok Nath was also granted similar protection by the apex court, as reported by PTI. The case was linked to an alleged multi-level marketing scheme in Haryana.
