Parmeet Sethi jokes that Kapil Sharma should pay him royalty

Parmeet Sethi jokes that Kapil Sharma should pay him royalty; ‘He uses my name so much that even..’

‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ recently completed 30 years, but the memories can never turn old for the rom-com fans. In addition to Raj and Simran, aka the iconic Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, the story would have been incomplete without the villain, but not the villainous Kuljeet, aka Parmeet Sethi. In his career, Parmeet did movies, TV, direction, and even faced a time when he felt he had almost disappeared from the industry. However, in recent years, his name has surfaced several times, without him even showing his face, courtesy of Kapil Sharma. The comedian-actor never leaves a chance to throw a punch at Archana Puran Singh, Parmeet’s wife, and he uses the ‘Badmash Company’ director’s name to do so. Recently, addressing the same subject, Parmeet Sethi jokingly said he has asked Kapil Sharma for royalty, as he is a character on his show, without even being physically present.

Archana Puran Singh opens up: ‘Ego almost broke our marriage’

Parmeet Sethi asks Kapil Sharma for royalty

While speaking with Pinkvilla, it was brought to the actor’s attention that Kapil Sharma uses his name religiously almost in every episode, and according to this math, Sethi must get some royalty. Strongly agreeing to it, Parmeet said, “He should pay me royalty! I ask him to give me a royalty. He uses my name so much that even though I’m not physically present, I have become a character in that show.”With a smile, he added that he takes all the jokes in a sporty way and with fun. “He then, I’m happy that I can still be of some use somewhere,” he added. In the same interview, Parmeet added that he understands the effort that goes into writing comedy, as he was a ghost writer when he produced a talk show with Archana, where she did stand-up. He said their show was almost like Kapil’s, and Sethi used to either write Archana’s stand-up script or supervise it, so he knows the work that goes behind. He also praised Kapil for his witty responses and said that he is an artist who doesn’t even need a script for performance.

Parmeet Sethi on his relationship with Kapil Sharma

When further asked about his relationship with Kapil Sharma and his family, Parmeet Sethi, with a lot of warmth, replied that it feels like home. “I can’t describe it any better than that; it is like family. Kapil is a sweetheart. Ginni (Kapil’s wife) is a sweetheart, his mother; they are all wonderful people, very homely. They love and respect us deeply, and we feel exactly the same way about them.” “Our relationship goes beyond just work,” he concluded. Go to Source
