Shilpa Shetty’s Bastian earns Rs 2-3 crore a night

Shilpa Shetty’s Bastian earns Rs 2-3 crore a night, reveals Shobhaa De; ‘Each table was spending lakhs’

Shilpa Shetty’s fine-dining venture, Bastian, continues to dominate Mumbai’s luxury food scene. Recently, author and columnist Shobhaa De revealed the staggering numbers behind the restaurant’s success. She shared that Shilpa’s Dadar outlet, Bastian At The Top, reportedly earns between Rs 2–3 crore every night.Talking about Mumbai’s nightlife, De said on Inside Out With Barkha Dutt, “There is one single restaurant in Mumbai which has a turnover of Rs 2–3 crore a night. On slow nights, it’s Rs 2 crore, and on weekends, Rs 3 crore or more.” She further added that she decided to visit the place herself to see if those figures were actually true. When she was asked to name the restaurant, De said, “It’s Bastian. It’s the new Bastian At The Top. It’s 21,000 square feet – it’s not even reality. You walk in there and feel, ‘Where am I?’ You have a 360° view of the city.”

A sky-high hotspot for Mumbai’s elite

Located on the 48th floor of Kohinoor Square in Dadar, Bastian At The Top is known for its panoramic views, rooftop pool, and lavish interiors. Since opening in 2023, it has become one of Mumbai’s most glamorous dining and party destinations, attracting celebrities and high-profile guests alike. Shobhaa De also shared that the restaurant serves close to 1,400 guests every night in two separate seatings. “They do two seatings, each of 700 people. There’s even a waiting list downstairs on the road in Dadar,” she said. “People arrive in Lamborghinis and Aston Martins. Who are these people? I have no idea.”

‘Each table was spending lakhs’

Recalling her personal experience at the venue, De said she was amazed by the crowd and the spending power of the guests. “I didn’t recognise a single face among the 700 diners. They were young, ordering bottles of the best tequila. Each table was spending lakhs — and yet they were complete strangers to me,” she recalled.
