Are fans disappointed with Pawan Kalyan’s ‘OG’ digital release?

‘They Call Him OG’ OTT release: Fans disappointed as Pawan Kalyan’s film streams digitally without uncut version

Pawan Kalyan’s ‘They Call Him OG’ has finally made its way to OTT, but it seems the excitement didn’t quite translate into satisfaction. Fans were hoping for an uncut gem featuring extended footage, yet the digital release has stuck closely to the cinematic version, even missing out on that despite pre-release hype surrounding a new song.

Pawan Kalyan was recently seen in the action-packed gangster drama ‘They Call Him OG’. After its theatrical release, the film made its debut on an OTT platform. However, the highly anticipated digital release has left many fans underwhelmed.

OTT release details

According to a report by 123Telugu, viewers had been requesting the makers and the streaming giant for weeks to release the uncut version of They Call Him OG. Expectations were high that the OTT premiere would include unseen clips and extended sequences, especially since promotional materials hinted at more footage than what was shown in theatres.

OTT release identical to theatrical version

However, the digital version turned out to be identical to the theatrical cut, featuring no new additions or changes. Even the much-talked-about song ‘Kiss Kiss Bang Bang’, which was teased before the release but didn’t appear on the big screen, was absent from the OTT version. This decision has disappointed fans, with several taking to social media to express their frustration. Many have demanded that the makers release the unreleased scenes separately on YouTube as deleted clips. So far, there has been no official update from the production team or Netflix regarding this request.
