Tina Ahuja, daughter of celebrated actor Govinda, opened up about the terrifying incident that led her to rush her father to the hospital after an accidental shooting. She painted a picture of the chaos that unfolded, from the gut-wrenching sight of his shirt stained with blood to the sheer joy of seeing him recover and leave the hospital.

Govinda made headlines in October last year after he accidentally shot himself in the leg with his licensed revolver. The actor was rushed to the hospital, and several videos went viral when he got discharged. In one of them, his daughter, Tina Ahuja, was seen in tears. Now, the star kid has shed light on the entire episode.

In an interview with Filmygyan, Tina Ahuja shared that when the entire episode happened, she was the one who took him to the hospital. She expressed that he was going for an event in Kolkata and the flight was early morning.Tina stated that “just like in movies,” he was wearing white pants, a matching t-shirt, and a jacket. She added, “Woh poora white jeans jo hai naa poora laal ho gaya tha (his entire white pant had turned red).” She told him, “Papa, it’s all thanks to all your movies.” He had the courage to fight back and go to the hospital.Tina recalled how she took him to the hospital. She said, “Toh it was just that, ek hota hai naa ki khushi ke aansu, ki thank you god he’s back. Bas wohi tha. And I’m very emotional; I’m a little desi hun main thodi si (so it was just like tears of happiness that thank God he is back. That was it. I am very emotional. I’m quite Desi).”

In the same interview, she explained why she was crying when her father, Govinda, was discharged from the hospital. She expressed, “Woh uss time pe mera tear of victory tha. Kyunki maine uss time pe literally bhagwan se itni prarthnayein ki thi (Those were my tears of victory. Because, at that time, I had prayed a lot in front of God).”Tina further shared that she was happy that her father came out healthy. She stated that the veteran actor was initially in the ICCU, and she was sleeping down in the hospital. Tina added her father was then shifted to the ICU.She shared that her father is quite “finicky.” Tina added, “Woh bohot desi hain. Toh woh drips nahi lena, woh antibiotics nahi lena; unko bohot yeh sab cheezon se irritation hoti hai (He is total desi; he would not take drips or antibiotics. He gets quite irritated by all of that).”The star kid shared that when a person is fighting and thinking about what to do now and how to do it. She said, “And I was literally sleeping down in the ICU, and I wanted him to be back.”
