After featuring in ‘Nadaaniyan’ and ‘Sarzameen’, Ibrahim Ali Khan is now preparing for his next film, ‘Diler’. Unlike his previous OTT releases, ‘Diler’ will mark Ibrahim’s big-screen debut. The film is being directed by Kunal Deshmukh, known for his previous film, ‘Jannat.’ In an interview recently, Ibrahim opened up on how he remains hopeful about ‘Diler’. He said he trusts Kunal Deshmukh’s vision and believes the experienced director will present him in the best way possible.

In an interview with Esquire India, he shared that his upcoming film ‘Diler’ is being directed by Kunal Deshmukh, an experienced filmmaker. Further, he said he feels confident that Kunal will be able to present him well on screen. “I’ve really sat on the script this time around. Kunal Deshmukh sir is a really experienced director. He’s very good and can present me well. I’m not taking shots at my previous directors, but the truth is that they are also first-time filmmakers. You have to think about that.”

The young actor who has earlier worked with debut directors Shauna Gautam’s ‘Nadaaniyan’ and Kayoze Irani’s ‘Sarzameen’ also added that he has a ‘good’ feeling about this film.

Ibrahim Ali Khan expressed confidence in his acting abilities, he believes he has the talent for it. Speaking about director Kunal Deshmukh, he shared that Kunal has been a great guide on set, always ready to find solutions and make him feel comfortable whenever he faced challenges during the shoot.He added, “We’re on the backfoot right now, but I know how to act—it might be a cocky thing to say but some people have it, and some don’t. KD has really shown me the way. If I’m not comfortable with something, he would find a workaround. He always has an answer.”

Despite facing criticism for his earlier work, Ibrahim Ali Khan asked viewers to be patient and give him another opportunity to prove himself. He urged his fans,“Give me one more chance, man. Let’s have at it.”

About ‘Diler’

According to reports, South Indian actress Sreeleela will star opposite Ibrahim Ali Khan in Diler, and audiences are excited to see this new on-screen pair. The film’s team reportedly wrapped up their first shooting schedule in London last year.Ibrahim made his acting debut with Shauna Gautam’s ‘Nadaaniyan,’ alongside Khushi Kapoor. Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra under Dharmatic Entertainment, the film premiered on Netflix on March 7, 2025. He was later seen in Kayoze Irani’s ‘Sarzameen,’ co-starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Kajol, which was released on JioHotstar on July 25, 2025. Go to Source
