Gautam revealed she feels excited about the preparations, whether it’s the long haul of cleaning her house, discarding the unnecessary items, or getting the new home decor, and buying gifts, according to the interview with Hindustan Times. For the ‘Kaabil’ actress, she wants the traditions to be continued by her son Vedavid. In the Gautam-Dhar household, family traditions involve “lightning diya on Dhanteras, puja on Chhoti Diwali, and making rangoli with soaked rice paste, drawing Ma Lakshmi’s feet on the main day.”

Vedavid is always part of the puja, and he tries his best to chip in when we are cleaning the house,” she said, adding that she and her husband, Aditya Dhar, like to maintain certain traditions and wish to continue.
