Huma spotted with rumoured fiancée Rachit Singh

Huma Qureshi spotted with Rachit Singh at 'Thamma' screening amid engagement rumours

Huma Qureshi made a glamorous appearance at the special screening of ‘Thamma’ in Mumbai on Saturday, October 18. The actress caught everyone’s attention, not just for her stunning style, but for walking the red carpet alongside rumoured fiancé and acting coach Rachit Singh. This marked their first public outing together since engagement rumours began last month, giving fans an exciting first glimpse of their chemistry.

How did the engagement rumours start?

Speculation about Huma and Rachit’s engagement first surfaced after singer Akasa Singh shared a photo with the couple. She wrote, “Congratulations on your little piece of heaven with the best name, Huma. Had the best night.”The couple had already fuelled dating rumours when Huma was seen at Rachit’s intimate birthday celebration. Rachit shared a photo from the occasion with the caption, “A Rose amongst two Thorns🤓❤️ … thank u for the celebrations and birthday love,” showing Huma standing beside him.

Huma’s reaction to engagement rumours

Huma has remained composed amid the speculation. Speaking to Bombay Times, she said, “What can I say? People have too much time on their hands. I’m sure when the time is right, I’ll make an announcement. But before I can announce, people have already decided to do it. When it happens, we will let you know. Why should I clear any air? I didn’t put it out there… It is somebody’s active imagination. When my wedding happens, everyone will know.”On whether the rumours bothered her, she added, “Not at all. I don’t even think about it. I live my life, I’m happy, and I know what’s happening in my life. My contract with my audience is only as far as my work is concerned. My personal life is my private matter.”Acknowledging fan’s curiosity, Huma said, “I do understand that because I’m a public figure, everyone’s interested in what’s going on with my life, which is sweet and kind. The day it stops happening, perhaps, that might bother me. It’s the deal you make with the devil, the price of all the love and attention I get for my work. And it’s a small price to pay.”
