Elon Musk’s ex-girlfriend and musician, Grimes, recently released her album ‘Artificial Angles,’ which is reportedly from the perspective of artificial intelligence. However, the 38-year-old has been facing backlash for including ‘Justice for Charlie Kirk’ on her album cover.
The controversial album cover of Grimes
Singer Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, included various screenshots for her album cover, ranging from her pictures, a statement that said ‘Grimes is in her cringe fascist era,’ ‘RIP KPOP!’, and many more. However, one of the screenshots had a Charlie Kirk memorial coin. He was a right-wing activist and conservative Republican who was shot at the age of 31 at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. In the screenshot cover, Grimes also included the meme coin for Iryna Zarutska, the 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee who was brutally murdered in North Carolina in August.
The critical comments
The comments surged in the section to question the Charlie Kirk screenshot, according to The Daily Mail. One comment said, “Plz tell me the Charlie Kirk part of the cover is satire sister…” Another user asked, “Justice for Charlie?????” However, many users defended her, citing that it’s just about the internet hysteria. A fan followed, “She’s criticizing people using his death for memecoin. It’s out of touch. Her song is about internet hysteria, and frankly that’s anyone who’s so offended and ready to jump on her. ” However, the third party had their doubts, “I’m thinking its satire/rage bait.” Another said, “She is mocking the USE of someone’s death for CRYPTO COIN, inherently exploiting his death with AI”
Grimes and Elon Musk
Grimes was in an on-and-off relationship with billionaire Elon Musk from 2018 to 2023, and shares three children with him: X Æ A-Xii, 5, Exa, 4, and Techno, 3. They have had quite a public fight (technically on social media), when she reportedly accused him of ignoring the children’s health care needs. Go to Source
