Highlighting how emotional she was, Rashmika, in her interaction with Hindustan Times, shared, “I remember one Dhanteras, immediately after my first or second film, when I was making good money, and it was the first time I bought something big with my own money. I was emotional since it seemed like such a proud moment for both me and my parents. So, it was a chain and pendant for my mother, who has always been my fortunate charm.”

The actress added that it wasn’t about the price of the purchase but the satisfaction of giving her mother something special with her own earned money. Furthermore, speaking about the bond she shares with her mother, she also mentioned the earnings her mom gave her, and how they hold a special place in her heart. “The earrings my mother gave me while I was in college are my favorite. They have so many great memories tied to them; they were my first pair of earrings, so they’re important,” she said.

Rashmika Mandanna misses home, as she is busy with work during Diwali

Rashmika’s upcoming movie, ‘Thamma,’ is scheduled to release on October 21. The actress is busy promoting the movie and thus is missing home during the festive time. She expressed her desire to be with her family on the occasion. “I truly hope I can go home for Diwali; it has been a while, and festivals are when I miss my family the most. With our schedules, it’s not always easy to get home on time. And I miss it. But whenever I go home, there’s one custom that I particularly love: we all cook together and prepare Koovale Putt, a traditional meal from Coorg. At the end of the day, it’s the little details that make festivals great. Just being with your loved ones,” she concluded.
