‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ box office collection day 15

'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' box office collection day 15: The Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor film sees an all-time low on second Thursday, 'Kantara' also sees a drop

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ and ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ released on the same day, but their box office journeys couldn’t have been more different. The clash turned out to be a one-horse race, with Kantara racing far ahead. The Kannada epic enjoyed a pan-India release across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages, while Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari saw a comparatively modest rollout. The Varun Dhawan–Janhvi Kapoor starrer began on a respectable note, opening at ₹9.25 crore on day one. However, the momentum dipped sharply the next day, as collections fell to ₹5.5 crore on Friday. A short-lived weekend boost brought in ₹7.5 crore each on Saturday and Sunday, but the weekday trend proved discouraging — the numbers slid into the ₹2–3 crore range. Discounted ticket pricing offered a slight cushion midweek, helping it earn ₹3.25 crore on Tuesday, ₹2.25 crore on Wednesday, and ₹2 crore on Thursday, taking its first-week total to ₹41.1 crore. The second weekend saw only a minor improvement: ₹2.25 crore on Friday, ₹3.25 crore on Saturday (day 10), and around ₹3 crore on Sunday (day 11). Monday (day 12) recorded ₹1.15 crore, followed by ₹1.40 crore on Tuesday and ₹1 crore on Wednesday (day 14). By day 15, the film slipped further to ₹90 lakh, signaling that its theatrical run is nearing its end. As per Sacnilk, the total stands at ₹55 crore.Meanwhile, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ continues its unstoppable run, having stormed past the ₹480 crore mark on day 15. It is expected to cross Rs 500 crore over the weekend.
