Mahagathbandhan Seat-Sharing Deadlock Continues In Bihar, Congress Insists On 60 Seats

A major political development is unfolding in Bihar as the seat-sharing discussions within the Mahagathbandhan alliance remain unresolved. According to reports, tensions have escalated between the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) over the number of seats each party will contest in the upcoming elections. The RJD has reportedly offered 58 seats to Congress, but the Congress leadership is firm on contesting at least 60 seats, leading to a deadlock in negotiations. Amid growing pressure to finalize the arrangement, a crucial meeting of the Mahagathbandhan is scheduled to take place today in Patna, where the final seat-sharing formula is expected to be announced. Sources suggest that despite differences, both sides are keen to maintain alliance unity ahead of the polls. However, the ongoing disagreement highlights the internal challenges faced by the opposition bloc as it seeks to present a united front against the NDA in Bihar.
