Govinda says he has forgiven Sunita Ahuja ‘many times’

'She says things that...': Govinda calls wife Sunita Ahuja 'the child of the family,' says he has forgiven her 'many times'

Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, recently made headlines after reports surfaced claiming trouble in their marriage. However, the couple quickly put those rumours to rest by making a joint public appearance. Now, in a recent conversation on Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle, Govinda opened up about his long-standing relationship with Sunita, calling her “the child of the family” and revealing how forgiveness and understanding have played a big role in their bond.

“Sunita is like a kid, but she runs the house beautifully”

Speaking fondly of his wife, Govinda described Sunita as the heart of their home. “She is a child herself. My children handle my wife as if she’s a child. Sunita is like a kid, but the responsibilities that she was given, she could manage our household only because she is what she is. She is an honest child. Her words are never wrong. It is just that she says things that she shouldn’t,” he said with a smile. The Hero No. 1 actor further reflected on the difference in perspectives between men and women, admitting that he often finds it difficult to think the way she does. “The problem with men is that they can’t think on those lines. I always believe that man runs the house but women run the whole world,” he added.

“I have forgiven her and the family many times”

When asked if Sunita often points out his mistakes, Govinda responded in his trademark candid style. “She has herself made so many mistakes… I have forgiven her and the entire family so many times,” he shared, hinting at the ups and downs that come with any long relationship. He continued, “Sometimes, according to me, we rely too much on them. Especially if your mother is not with you, so you rely too much on your wife. And as time passes, she starts scolding you like a mother, she explains also like a mother. They don’t realise it, but we see it. We can see how they have changed now and how they were when they were young.”

Putting divorce rumours to rest

Recently, speculation about the couple’s marriage had sparked after reports claimed Sunita had filed for divorce. But the two shut down the gossip by appearing together to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. Sunita even addressed the rumours head-on, saying, “Govinda will always remain my husband, and nobody can break our relationship.”Govinda and Sunita’s love story goes back decades. The couple tied the knot quietly and kept their marriage a secret until the birth of their daughter, Tina Ahuja, in 1989. They later welcomed their son, Yashvardhan, in 1997. While Tina has already stepped into Bollywood, Yashvardhan is all set to make his debut with Sai Rajesh’s upcoming untitled film. Go to Source
