In an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Abhinav Kashyap accused Salman Khan and his family of harassing him to the point where he wanted to quit the film. The filmmaker then shared that he avoided interactions with the star in the latter half of the production. Kashyap said, “They wanted a reason to tell the media that I wasn’t up to the mark and wanted to install Arbaaz Khan as the director.”The director shared that such a thing didn’t happen and credited his friend for the same. He said, The credit goes to my friend Sunil Vohra, who introduced me to Arbaaz.”While sharing his fainting episode, Abhinav Kashyap stated that on one evening, he and Salman Khan had an “argument,” after which the superstar spoke to him “rudely.”As per Kashyap, Khan accused him of “siphoning the money” and called him a “thief.” The director questioned the actor, saying that if he was so incompetent and a thief, why was he still on the project? Kashyap added, “And he clearly told me, ‘Toh jaa na, tujhe roka kisne hai (Go then, who’s stopping you)?'”Abhinav Kashyap expressed that he was “so hurt” that he “fainted.” The filmmaker shared, “I had a blackout for two or three minutes, and I sat down on the ground.”
