Kantara 2 BO day 13: Film beats The GOAT lifetime earnings

Kantara Chapter 1 box office collection day 13: Rishab Shetty film collects Rs 465 crore, beats Vijay's The GOAT lifetime earnings

Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ has achieved remarkable success, surpassing Vijay’s ‘The GOAT’ lifetime earnings in just 13 days with domestic collections exceeding Rs 465 crore. Despite a slight slowdown in its second week, the film’s strong opening week performance has positioned it to outgross Salman Khan’s ‘Tiger 3’ solely through Indian box office figures.

Rishab Shetty’s Kantara Chapter 1 may be slowing down in its second week, but it has already surpassed the lifetime earnings of Vijay’s The GOAT with just 13 days of domestic collections.

Crosses Rs 465 crore mark in India

According to Sacnilk, Kantara Chapter 1 earned an estimated Rs 13.5 crore net in India on day 13, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 465 crore. With this, the film has crossed the worldwide lifetime earnings of Vijay’s The GOAT (Rs 457 crore) and is set to surpass the Rs 464 crore lifetime collection of Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 with its India earnings alone.

Second week slowdown after strong opening

After a strong first week earning Rs 337.4 crore, the film saw a slight slowdown in its second week. On Monday, it collected Rs 13.35 crore, dropping over 66 percent from Sunday’s Rs 39.75 crore. While it maintained steady momentum through its first week with minimal drops, it remains to be seen whether the film can hold its pace in the coming days.

Kangana reacts to fan’s comparison of Dev culture

Kangana recently responded to a social media post that compared the Dev culture of the Himalayas to the traditions shown in Rishab Shetty’s film. The user had shared a heartfelt post saying, “What Kantara has shown is reality. Until I saw this movie, I wasn’t aware of South India, but believe me, everyone born in the Himalayas has felt and seen things beyond imagination. The Dev culture here is truly divine, and this movie beautifully shows the vastness of Hinduism and the deep connection people have with their local deities. Kudos to you @shetty_rishab sir for bringing such a marvellous project.”The post caught Kangana’s attention, and she was quick to respond with admiration for the film. She wrote, “Very nice, such films can be crucial for stopping tribal conversion also.”DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
