Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Mannat' is like Buckingham Palace? Rajat Bedi reveals bungalow has ‘100-seater home theatre’

Rajat Bedi, known for his iconic role in ‘Koi… Mil Gaya’, has made a notable comeback in the film industry with Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’. His character in the film was loosely inspired by his own life and also carried subtle nods to his earlier movies. The performance has been widely appreciated, and Rajat has been visiting friends and colleagues, thanking Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan for their generosity in casting him.Rajat Bedi has now shared his experience of visiting Shah Rukh Khan’s legendary residence, ‘Mannat’, and compared it to the grandeur of Buckingham Palace.

Rajat describes Mannat’s security like airports

Talking to Filmygyan about the superstar’s mansion, Rajat Bedi said, “Entering ‘Mannat’ is like entering Buckingham Palace. The way you enter an airport, where your belongings are screened… Your belongings are screened when you enter ‘Mannat’.”Bedi also revealed a common misconception about the house’s gates. He further explained, “The gate where fans often gather is actually the exit gate of the house. The entry is located elsewhere.”

Mannat has a massive 100-seater home theatre

Rajat Bedi recalled his first visit to ‘Mannat’, which left a lasting impression on him. The house features a home theatre with around 100 seats. “We went to the home theatre, which is like a proper theatre. I think there must be around 100 seats there and it’s like a proper cinema hall,” he said. Rajat Bedi had been invited to watch the extended trailer of ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’, which was screened for the cast and other close friends and associates of Shah Rukh Khan. He mentioned some notable attendees, saying, “Karan Johar, Shweta Nanda, and other close friends of the Khan family were also there.”

Shah Rukh Khan spoke about Rajat Bedi

Before the trailer screening, Shah Rukh Khan addressed the gathering, sharing warm words about his long-standing association with Rajat. “Very sweetly, SRK said that we have Tiger in our midst, who started his career when he was a child. I was very overwhelmed because I saw him talking about me. He calls me Tiger, never Rajat,” Rajat recalled.

Rajat shared details about Mannat

Rajat Bedi also shared details about the layout of Shah Rukh Khan’s residence. “There is a bungalow and there is a building behind it. It’s one piece of land but there is a bungalow attached with a big tall building. I have not been in that building. I believe there are floors for everyone there but I have just been in that bungalow and that’s also massive. It has huge 2-3 spread out seating areas and dining room,” he explained.
