Sonakshi’s hilarious reaction to B’wood’s nepotism debate

'Aap apna dekh lo': Sonakshi Sinha's hilarious reaction to Bollywood's nepotism debate

Sonakshi Sinha playfully addressed Bollywood’s nepotism debate in a new video, humorously referencing her industry roots with a golden spoon. She also put a witty spin on a famous dialogue from ‘Dabangg’ while reporters questioned her about the topic. The article also touches upon her father Shatrughan Sinha’s doting nature and her upcoming film ‘Jatadhara’.

Sonakshi Sinha recently had fun poking at Bollywood’s nepotism debate in a playful new video. The Dabangg star humorously references her film industry roots with a golden spoon in her mouth, turning the classic ‘born with a silver spoon’ saying into a witty moment.

A golden spoon from childhood to present

In the video, Sonakshi humorously acknowledges her film industry roots with a golden spoon in her mouth. It shows baby and childhood moments with the spoon, ending with her confidently posing as an adult, making it her signature accessory.

Referencing Dabangg with a twist

Sonakshi also says, “Thappad se darr nahi lagta sahab, pyaar se lagta hai,” this time with the golden spoon in her mouth. The video turns playful when reporters ask her about nepotism. Still holding the spoon, she shrugs as a voiceover says, “Sona ka sona toh by birth sorted hai,” and she responds with a smile, “Aap apna dekh lo?”

Family influence and fatherly love

Back in a 2012 interview with Simi Grewal, she revealed how her father’s conservative nature influenced her upbringing and personal life. “I am the apple of his eyes, and he has pampered me so much. He wants to build a house for me where I can bring my husband. He doesn’t want to let me go away to my husband’s house. He wants to bring my husband to our house,” Sonakshi had said.Sonakshi said that Shatrughan is that typical dad who truly believes his daughter can do no wrong. “But when it comes to Dabangg, there’s just something different in his eyes when he talks about it. That film will always be his favourite,” says Sonakshi. On the professional front, she will next be seen in Jatadhara. It also stars Sudheer Babu and Divya Khossla. The Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal directorial will release on November 7.
