Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan recently bagged the National Film Award for his powerhouse performance in ‘Jawan’, sparking celebrations across the film industry and among fans worldwide. The excitement didn’t stop there, his ‘Jawan’ co-star Priyamani also shared in the joy, sending her warm congratulations in her own thoughtful way.

In a chat with News18 Showsha, Priyamani spoke about how thrilled she was about Shah Rukh Khan’s huge achievement and how she made sure to send her best wishes.“I am not on that personal level with Shah Rukh sir that I would just simply message him. But I am very happy for him. I messaged Pooja Dadlani (SRK’s manager) though and passed on my congratulations through her. I hope I meet him soon,” she said with a smile.Even though she does not share a close personal bond with the superstar, her excitement for his success was clear. For Priyamani, it was a proud moment to see her ‘Jawan’ co-star being honoured with one of India’s biggest film awards.

Priyamani has worked with Shah Rukh Khan before in ‘Chennai Express’, where she appeared in a popular dance number. Their on-screen chemistry in that film had already won hearts, and years later, she got the chance to work with him again in ‘Jawan’.

The ‘Family Man’ actress also made a light-hearted confession about what kind of role she would like to play with Shah Rukh Khan in the future. “I would want to romance Shah Rukh Khan in a film if given a chance,” she added, laughing. After two successful collaborations, Priyamani’s wish to play his romantic lead has certainly made many movie lovers curious.

This year, Shah Rukh Khan clinched the prestigious National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in Atlee’s ‘Jawan’. The win was extra special as it marked his first National Award in more than thirty years of his career.His portrayal in ‘Jawan’ as a father-son duo fighting for justice struck a chord with fans across generations. The film became one of the highest-grossing movies of the year and proved that SRK continues to rule the silver screen with unmatched energy and charm.
