'Kantara: Chapter 1' box office collection day 11 (LIVE): The Rishab Shetty movie crosses Rs 420 crore in India, sees growth on second Sunday

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has taken over the box office and how. While the Rishab Shetty directorial also starring him along with Rukmini Vasanth and other actors had a huge opening of over Rs 60 crore on day 1 in all languages, it slowly began to see a drop. It had released on October 2 which was a holiday nationwide due to Gandhi Jayanti and Dussehra so it made the most out of it. But even in the days after that, the film remained in the Rs 20 crore range. Now on its second weekend, it saw a good growth. The film had an opening of a whopping Rs 61.85 crore at the box office on day 1. It saw a drop on day 2 and overall in all languages made Rs 45.4 crore. But there was a jump again over the weekend. Within a span of 4 days, the film crossed Rs 220 crore which is huge. With this. With this, ‘Kantara’ is now in the top 10 highest grossing movies of the year. The film has surpassed Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’, Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’. On Wednesday, day 7, it has made Rs 25 crore. On day 8, which is Thursday, it made Rs 21.15 crore. Thus, the week 1 collection of the film was Rs 337.4 crore. On Friday, it made Rs 22.25 crore and on Saturday, it saw a good jump, making a total of Rs 38.5 crore. It is expected that the film will grow further on Sunday, which is day 11. Till evening, it has made Rs 22.47 crore. With that, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’, has crossed Rs 400 crore taking its total in all languages in India to Rs 421.12 crore according to Sacnilk.Meanwhile, at the worldwide box office, the film has touched Rs 590 crore. The film clashed at the box office with ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ which is now inching towards Rs 50 crore at the domestic box office.
