Bihar polls: RJD writes to EC, seeks action over transfer of officials

RJD on Tuesday expressed serious concern over large-scale transfer of officials just ahead of the announcement of dates for Bihar assembly elections on Monday, and demanded suitable action by EC. In a two-page letter submitted to the state’s chief electoral officer, the party said the transfers were “not only against established rules but also highlights the political pressure and misuse of power”. The letter described the transfers as a “well-hatched conspiracy to interfere with the poll process”.
