BJP MP Khagen Murmu Injured During Stone Attack In Jalpaiguri | ABP News

In a shocking incident on Monday, BJP MP Khagen Murmu from Bengal’s Maldaha Uttar constituency was seriously injured during an attack in flood-hit Jalpaiguri. Graphic visuals showed him bleeding from head wounds, his white scarf soaked in blood. Murmu and local MLA Shankar Ghosh were reportedly assaulted while distributing relief materials to flood victims. The attack has sparked widespread outrage and raised concerns over political violence in West Bengal. With Assembly elections approaching next year, the incident is expected to deepen tensions between the ruling Trinamool Congress and the BJP, while questions mount over the safety of political leaders working in volatile areas.
