Coldplay kiss cam controversy leads to another divorce?

Coldplay kiss cam controversy: Ex-Astronomer CEO Andy Byron SPOTTED strolling hand-in-hand with wife Megan; enjoy beach date amid divorce buzz

Astronomer CEO Andy Byron found himself back in the headlines, this time, over photos that saw him on a date with his estranged wife, Megan. The spotting comes months after the businessman hit the headlines over his controversial kiss-cam appearance with HR head Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert. Daily Mail reports that the 51-year-old was photographed over the weekend in the upscale town of Kennebunk, Maine, strolling hand-in-hand with Megan. Amidst buzz that the two are calling it quits on their marriage following what appeared to be a cheating scandal, both were seen wearing their wedding rings. The couple was also spotted leaving a sprawling mansion where Megan had moved to following the scandal. The report further states that the couple, dressed in athleisure, then headed out for a sunset picnic on the beach and enjoyed a quiet walk through their neighbourhood.

Cabot files for divorce

Meanwhile, this spotting comes after news broke that Cabot filed for divorce in August from her husband, just weeks after the scandal.Byron’s public spotting with his wife has left many wondering whether the couple is working to repair their marriage for the sake of their three kids.

Coldplay ‘kiss cam’ scandal

Byron made headlines around the world when he was ‘caught’ on the “kiss cam” with Kristin Cabot in his arms during a Coldplay concert. Their awkward reaction to the video went viral after frontman Chris Martin quipped, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.” This prompted the internet to identify the couple in the video and a viral meme trend.

Resignations amid scandals

Following the controversy, Astronomer, where Byron served as CEO, launched an internal investigation. Byron resigned the following day, with Cabot stepping down less than a week later. The company later got Chris Martin’s ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, to help with an ad.
