‘Jaya Bachchan likes her space’: Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla

‘Jaya Bachchan likes her space’: Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla explain why veteran actress is NOT a media-friendly person

Jaya Bachchan’s long-standing association with ace designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla dates back to the time when she had taken a break from acting after embracing motherhood. The ace fashion designers and the talented actress have been sharing a beautiful bond for almost 4 decades. Recently, reflecting on the very bond, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla spoke highly of Jaya Bachchan in a recent interview. They highlighted that she is a private person who just wants people to be clear with her. Further, they spoke about Jaya’s relationship with the media and emphasised how genuine of friend she has always been.

Designers Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla share that Jaya Bachchan is not a media-friendly person

Namrata Zakaria’s show recently had Designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla as guests. During their interaction, the host said that Jaya Bachchan is a misunderstood person, and elaborating on that, the designers said, “She is not a media-friendly person at all.” They further added, “For us, she’s been a mentor… People are too judgmental, and she’s a person who likes her space. She’s not touchy-feely at all. If you’re addressing her for who she is, she’s very happy to talk to you. But if you’re talking to her because she’s someone’s mother, someone’s mother-in-law, or wife of Amitabh Bachchan, then her attitude is different.”Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla then explained that all Jaya wants is for people to be clear with her. According to them, she believes that if “‘you want to talk to me as a wife, talk to me as a wife. But if you want to talk to me as Jaya, talk to me as Jaya. Don’t talk to me as Jaya if you want to know about other people in my life’. She’s just direct, and she hates people coming into her space, and she hates being photographed.”

Designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla spill the beans on Jaya Bachchan as a friend

“If Jaya has made friends with you or believes in you, there is nothing that can change her mind. The trust is implicit. At the same time, honesty is also implicit,” they shared, describing Jaya Bachchan as a friend. Furthermore, elaborating on their bond, they shared a personal anecdote and said, “Every time we would ‘take a flight’ from our reality, she’d be there to say, ‘Guys, you’re flying too high’. Even today, she says, ‘Boys, I’ll know you’re successful the day you have your own private jet’. We say, ‘Jaya, it’s not happening’.” Go to Source
