The Election Commission on Tuesday released the final voter list for Bihar following a Special Intensive Revision (SIR), which included Patna’s 14 constituencies under its jurisdiction. The revised roll showed a significant rise in the number of electors ahead of elections, due this year.According to the press release from Election Commission, around 21.53 lakh eligible electors were added, while 3.66 lakh ineligible ones were removed, since the first draft post SIR published in August. The draft electoral list on 1 August 2025 had 7.24 crore electors; after removing 3.66 lakh ineligible voters and adding 21.53 lakh eligible ones, the final list on 30 September 2025 stands at approximately 7.42 crore electors, according to the EC.Patna alone saw increase of over 1.6 lakh electors in the latest list.”In light of the directives of the Election Commission India, the final publication of the voter list for all 14 Assembly constituencies in Patna district was out today under the Intensive Revision Campaign, 2025, based on the eligibility date of 01.07.2025. According to this, the total number of electors is 48,15,294, which is 1,63,600 more than the total number of electors, 46,51,694, included in the draft list published on 01 August 2025,” said the District Administration, Patna.
