The UAE offers a multi-entry visit visa for truck drivers who need to travel frequently into the country to transport goods. These visas are available in durations of:

  • 30 days — Fee: AED 300
  • 60 days — Fee: AED 500
  • 90 days — Fee: AED 700

This visa can be applied for either at UAE land ports or via UAE embassies abroad. It is specifically meant for professional drivers who are linked to shipping or logistics companies operating within the UAE.To qualify, applicants must demonstrate a valid relationship with a UAE-based business in the transport sector, and provide both health and financial guarantees.

UAE visa requirements for truck drivers

A truck driver applying for this visa must submit several documents and meet specific eligibility criteria. These include:Mandatory documents:

  1. One recent personal photo
  2. Copy of passport with at least 6 months validity
  3. Proof of relationship with a UAE-based shipping or logistics company
  4. Valid driving license
  5. Vehicle license (truck ownership papers)
  6. Health insurance covering the duration of the stay

Optional but recommended documents:

  • ID card of the applicant
  • Written approval from the sponsor
  • Certified power of attorney, if the truck does not belong to the sponsor

UAE visa application process – Step by step

Applicants can submit their visa application through one of the following three channels:1. Online (ICP Website or Mobile App)

  • Go to Public Services > Truck Drivers section
  • Choose the visa duration (30, 60, or 90 days)
  • Start the application and fill in all required details
  • Upload documents and pay applicable fees

2. Customer happiness centers

  • Visit the nearest customer happiness center
  • Take a queue ticket from the automated system
  • Submit your application along with all documents
  • Make the payment at the service counter

3. AMER service centers

  • Go to a nearby AMER center
  • Collect an automated queue number
  • Submit the filled application and documents
  • Pay the required fees at the counter
