Rajat Bedi reveals he put ONE CONDITION before accepting role in 'The Ba***ds of Bollywood'; recalls telling Aryan Khan, 'Only if you allow…'

Rajat Bedi is currently enjoying the limelight he has received after a long time, thanks to Aryan Khan’s The Ba**ds of Bollywood*. The actor has been showered with praise for his role in the web series. In a recent interview, he opened up about the one condition he put forth to Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan before giving his nod to the project.In an interview with Hindustan Times, Rajat Bedi revealed the special condition he placed before accepting the role in The Ba**ds of Bollywood*. The actor shared that when the production team first reached out to him, he was in Canada. He admitted to being shocked when he learned Aryan Khan wanted to meet him. “I thought I was dreaming,” Bedi said.

He further recalled that when Aryan narrated the entire story of the show, he was “overwhelmed and excited.” The actor then requested the young debutant director to connect him with his father, Shah Rukh Khan.Bedi remembered asking SRK over the phone, “Sir, what have you done? Aapka beta kya bana raha hai (What is your son making)?” To which Khan replied, “Dekh le tereko karna hai toh… mera beta kuch kar raha hai (See if you want to do it… my son is making something).”

‘Only if you allow my son to assist you’

Bedi revealed that he then put forward one condition to Aryan. “I’ll only do your project if you allow my son to assist you. I started my career with your father, my son will start his career with you,” he recalled telling the young director.Aryan accepted the condition, and the two sealed the deal. Bedi proudly shared that his son has been working with Aryan for the last two years.

New beginnings after the show

The actor also revealed that since the release of The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, he has been flooded with multiple offers. This time, however, Bedi said he wants to take it slow and carefully choose his next project.
