‘There Are Costs For Standing Up To Trump’: Ex-FBI Chief Says He Is ‘Innocent’ After Indictment

Following his indictment by a federal grand jury on two criminal counts, former FBI Director James Comey said he is “innocent” and expressed heartbreak for the Department of Justice.

In a video posted to Instagram, Comey said, “My family and I have known for years that there are costs for standing up to Donald Trump, but we couldn’t imagine ourselves living any other way. We will not live on our knees and you shouldn’t either.”

“My heart is broken for the Department of Justice. I have great confidence in the federal judicial system and I am innocent, so let’s have a trial, and keep the faith,” he added.
