Pakistani 'spy' arrested: Hanif Khan accused of leaking intel during Operation Sindoor; case filed under Official Secrets Act

NEW DELHI: A Pakistani spy Hanif Khan was arrested by Rajasthan CID Intelligence for sending confidential information about Army movements to ISI, even during Operation Sindoor.According to IGP, CID (Security), Dr Vishnukant, quoted by ANI, “CID Intelligence Rajasthan team found the activities of Hanif Mir Khan (47), a resident of Basanpir Juni, Sadar police station, currently residing in Mohangarh, Jaisalmer, suspicious. Investigations revealed that he was in constant contact with the Pakistani intelligence agency through social media.”Khan has been arrested and a case was registered under the Official Secrets Act, 1923. According to Rajasthan Police, he had access to the border areas, and he leaked information during Operation Sindoor as well. “During interrogation, it was revealed that he possessed information about important military installations and troop movements. Even during Operation Sindoor, he was in contact with a Pakistani handler and was sharing information about troop movements,” said Rajasthan Police as quoted by ANI.Sharing further details on the arrest, Police further said, “Interrogation by various intelligence agencies at the Central Interrogation Centre, Jaipur, and mobile phone technical investigations also established that he was providing military strategic information to the ISI in exchange for money.”
