Jolly LLB 3 fails to beat Jolly LLB 2’s Tuesday numbers

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 3’ fails to beat Jolly LLB 2’s Tuesday numbers

Akshay Kumar’s Jolly LLB series continues with the third installment. The film stars Arshad Warsi alongside Akshay. It earned Rs 53.50 crore over the weekend. However, collections dropped significantly on Monday. A slight increase was seen on Tuesday due to discounts. Jolly LLB 2 also experienced a similar drop but recovered well.

Jolly LLB series has been a glowing jewel in Akshay Kumar’s career. He became part of the series in the second installment and it not only went on to become a Rs 100 crore grosser, it stamped Akshay as one of the solid performers of the industry which he has been part of for three decades now. He also went on become the part of the third installment which saw him sharing screen space with Arshad Warsi who was part of the 1st installment. The third installment saw a plethora of positive reviews from the critics and it also got strong word-of-mouth from the fans in the opening weekend but the film has been having issues over the weekdays. The film after collecting Rs 53.50 crore over the weekend with Sunday collection reaching Rs 21 crore, the film witnessed the biggest drop of the series on Monday where it just collected just Rs 5.5 crore. The film witnessed a jump on Tuesday where it collected Rs 6.5 crore, taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 65.5 crore .The jump was also because on Tuesday most cinema chains offer a discount to pull in more crowds. Now if one looks at the history, Jolly LLB 2’s collection also witnessed a drop on its Monday where it collected Rs 7.26 crore from a Sunday collection of Rs 19.95 crore. But on Tuesday the film’s collection jumped by almost 25 % to mint Rs 9.07 crore and thereby taking the 5 day collection of the film to Rs 66.79 crore. Going by the trend it seems Jolly LLB 3 won’t be able to cross Rs 80 crore mark in the first week, but it has become the 8th biggest grosser for Akshay since the Pandemic beating films like Bachchan Panday and Raksha Bandhan.
