They Call Him OG faces release hurdles in Europe too

After North America, Pawan Kalyan’s ‘They Call Him OG’ faces release hurdles in Europe too

Pawan Kalyan’s ‘They Call Him OG’ faces pre-release turbulence as overseas distributors express frustration over delayed content delivery. Premiere shows in North America are being delisted, causing financial losses. A Norway-based distributor, 4 Seasons Creations, voiced concerns about the impact of these delays, potentially jeopardizing the film’s success and the future of overseas distribution.

Post the disastrous run of Hari Hara Veer Mallu, Superstar Pawan Kalyan got a chance at redemption with his upcoming release They Call Him OG.The film directed by Sujeeth and co-starring Emraan Hashmi has taken a massive advance booking for premiere shows in North America , the film which is slated to have premiere on 24th, the filmmakers have still not delivered the content to it’s overseas distributors. In the US and Canada. big chains have begun delisting shows causing significant financial losses. The problem of delievry is not limited to just North America, now distributors in Europe are speaking up.Norway based distributor 4 Seasons Creations have taken to social media to share their frustration. They said, “ For far too long, we as overseas distributors have been bearing the impact of careless content delivery delays. Already, we pay huge amounts upfront and absorb financial risks. On top of that, every time a film’s content comes in late, it is we who take the hits in all aspects. On one hand, we hear repeated complaints that audiences are not coming to theater’s. But how can they, when even for massive, hyped titles like OG, content is delivered at the last possible minute risking premieres being cancelled?”

Pawan Kalyan Wields Sword at OG Event, Nearly Hits Bodyguard! Fans Shocked

“Do producers realize what kind of damage this causes? Distributors are left in a helpless state, facing backlash from both theater chains and fans.If this vicious cycle continues, then let it be very clear: if premieres are going to be cancelled because of late deliveries, give us the films for free and we will still release them bearing expenses. We are the ones paying big money, carrying the financial burden, and taking repeated hits, while producers escape accountability. This isn’t distribution. This is torture. And unless production houses and movie teams step up and take responsibility, overseas distributors will be a thing of the past” they added. Hey note was shared by many distributors who are affected by the delay. They Call Him OG has been facing delays since the start of the film, the film went on floors only in 2023 for it to release in 2025. In fact even the trailer of the film was delayed, it was due to release on the 21st morning which was supposed to follow with a grand pre- release event in Hyderabad. But the trailer didn’t get released on the appointed time , it was later announced that it will be released at the event. The trailer was shown to people present at the event but it hit the internet only the next day.North America ‘s distributor Prathyangira Cinema just shared an update while the 1st half of the content was already shared, second half should be available by tomorrow morning and delieveries will be despacted by 11 AM, while Hindi version is estimated to be delivered by tonight.
