Belagavi Tension: Truck Set on Fire Over Cow Meat Allegations by Hindu Activists | ABP NEWS

In Maharashtra’s Belagavi district, members of a Hindu organization set a truck ablaze, alleging it was transporting cow meat. The incident, which occurred in Kagwad Taluka, led to chaos in the region. The activists reportedly stopped the truck before torching it. Meanwhile, in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda district, villagers brutally assaulted two youths in separate incidents over suspicions of theft, despite police warnings. One of the victims is said to be disabled and was seen pleading for mercy. In Hyderabad’s Hakeempet area, torrential rains caused flash floods, sweeping away vehicles and flooding streets, homes, and shops. The downpour severely disrupted daily life. Further east, India’s only active volcano—Barren Island in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands—erupted on September 20, spewing lava after a long period of dormancy. In UP’s Hapur, police cracked down on vehicles displaying caste and religious symbols, removing stickers and issuing fines. In Meerut, a lovelorn man vandalized metro property with graffiti for a woman named Pooja. Meanwhile, in Yamunanagar, Haryana, police made a dramatic arrest of a criminal linked to a firing incident. These events underscore the rising concerns of communal unrest, mob justice, environmental disasters, and public safety in modern India.
