'Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra' box office collections day 26: Kalyani Priyadarshan film is just Rs 11 cr away from 150 cr

Dominic Arun’s fantasy drama ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra’ continues its dream run at the box office, with the film collecting an impressive Rs 139.05 crores across all languages in 26 days.Starring Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead, the movie earned Rs 1.20 crore on its fourth Monday, September 22, according to early estimates by trade portal Sacnilk.The numbers suggest that the film is comfortably heading toward the coveted Rs 150 crore milestone.

Weekend highs, weekday slowdowns

Lokah Chapter 1 : Chandra | Song – Shoka Mookam

The movie’s third weekend brought in over Rs 17 crore and it was powered by Saturday and Sunday collections of Rs 6.65 crore and Rs 7 crore, respectively. In terms of language breakdown, Malayalam audiences remain the biggest contributors even though there was a decent promotional work that happened across other languages.

Occupancy and audience pull

On Day 26, ‘Lokah’ posted an overall Malayalam occupancy of 18.96%, with the strongest footfalls seen during evening and night shows—22.16% and 29.66% respectively. Morning and afternoon slots stood lower at 9.05% and 14.98%.

Dulquer Salmaan’s clarification on OTT release

There were several reports saying that ‘Lokah’ will soon start streaming on a popular OTT platform. Dulquer Salmaan, the producer of the film, recently took to social media and clarified on the same. DQ wrote, “Lokah isn’t coming to OTT anytime soon. Ignore the fake news and stay tuned for official announcements! #Lokah #WhatstheHurry.”Featuring Kalyani Priyadarshan, Naslen K.
