Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has upgraded its Rumion multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) with enhanced safety features, making six airbags standard across all variants.

The updated Rumion now comes equipped with dual front, side and curtain shield airbags in every variant, providing 360-degree protection for all occupants. In addition, the top-grade V variant receives a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), designed to improve safety, fuel efficiency and convenience by continuously tracking tyre pressure.

The seven-seater Rumion features a chrome grille, projector headlamps, LED tail lamps and dual-tone machined alloy wheels. Inside, it offers a dual-tone cabin, flexible second-row split seats, reclining third-row seats, rear AC vents and ample luggage space, the company said in a statement.

The model is powered by a 1.5-litre K-Series engine available in both NeoDrive (petrol) and E-CNG options. Fuel economy is rated at 20.51 km/l for the petrol manual variant and 26.11 km/kg for CNG. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic with paddle shifters.

Other safety technologies offered are Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist and ISOFIX child seat mounts. The Rumion comes with a standard three-year/100,000 km warranty, extendable to five years/220,000 km, along with express maintenance services and 24×7 roadside assistance.

The Toyota Rumion is priced from ₹10.44 lakh (ex-showroom) and is available at dealerships nationwide as well as through Toyota Bharat’s online platform.
