‘Jolly LLB 3’ takes 4th biggest weekend opening for Akshay Kumar since Pandemic

Akshay Kumar’s career sees a resurgence with ‘Jolly LLB 3,’ marking his fourth major weekend collection since the pandemic, earning ₹53.5 crore. This legal comedy, reuniting him with Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla, follows the success of ‘Housefull 5’ and ‘Sky Force’ this year. Strong word-of-mouth suggests continued box office success, potentially revitalizing Kumar’s standing after recent struggles.

Over the years Akshay Kumar has proved himself to be one of the biggest pillars of Hindi Cinema having delivered multiple superhits and blockbusters. But since Pandemic the actor has been struggling at the box office with most of his films failing to connect with the audience. The year 2025 has been a year of resurgence with films like Housefull 5, Kesari 2 and Sky Force finding success at the box office. And now with this fourth release Jolly LLB 3, the actor is assured to have a good year after a very long time.Jolly LLB 3 sees him don the lawyer’s coat once again and teaming up with Arshad Warsi , Saurabh Shukla and Shubash Kapoor for the fourth part. The film opened to Rs 12.50 crore on day 1 and saw a massive jump on day 2 to collect Rs 20 crore and on day 3 the collection stayed steady was Rs 21 crore. Taking the overall weekend collection of the film to Rs 53.5 crore. The word of mouth of the film is extremely strong and the trade is expecting the film to have a double digit collection even on Monday. With a 3 day weekend total of Rs 53.50 crore, the film has gone on to become the 4th biggest weekend of Akshay Kumar since the start of the pandemic.The top of the chart is this year’s Housefull 5 which minted Rs 87.5 crore, while Sooryavanshi with ended the Pandemic for the movie business had collected Rs 77.08 crore. On the third spot is again his this year’s release Sky Force which earned Rs 62.25 crore. On the fourth spot it could have been Ram Setu with its Rs 56 crore collection but the film had an extended 6 day weekend as it was released on the occasion of Diwali. And on 5th spot is Akshay’s last year’s Eid release Bade Miyan Chote Miyan which had collected rs 40.8 crore.
