In a major political controversy in Bihar, the BJP has accused RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav of allowing offensive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother during a public rally. BJP leaders claim that RJD supporters used abusive language during Tejashwi’s speech, and have released a video allegedly showing the incident. The BJP has strongly condemned the incident, calling it a “black chapter in democracy,” and blamed the Lalu Yadav family for promoting such indecent behavior. The matter has escalated political tensions in the state ahead of elections. In another shocking incident from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, the body of a woman named Gulshan Parveen was found in a well days after she was reported missing by her husband. During investigation, police discovered that it was the husband, Mohammad Azad, who had murdered her. Frustrated by constant domestic fights, he drugged her, strangled her with the help of an accomplice, and dumped her body in a well. To avoid suspicion, he even filed a missing report himself. However, police investigations led to his arrest. An FIR has been registered against Azad and his aide under murder charges.
