When it comes to beauty, Katrina Kaif has always been admired for her radiant skin and effortless glow. The actor firmly believes that a consistent skincare routine is essential, and over the years she has developed simple yet effective habits that keep her skin looking healthy and youthful.

At 42, Katrina swears by starting her mornings with hydration from the inside out. In a YouTube Short shared by Femina India in November 2024, the Kay Beauty founder revealed that she never skips her warm morning drinks. “I always begin my day with two to three glasses of something warm—either ginger in hot water or lemon in hot water. That’s my first step, every single day,” she said.

Her choice isn’t just about ritual—it’s backed by science. Research published in Oxidative Medicine and Cellular Longevity highlights that ginger carries antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties, all of which support healthy ageing. Similarly, lemon water has been shown to boost hydration, improve skin elasticity, and protect against oxidative stress, helping skin stay supple and bright.

Along with hydration, Katrina incorporates gentle movement into her mornings. Whether it’s light stretches or calming yoga poses, she makes sure her body eases into the day. “I like to start with very simple, basic yoga movements before I dive into work,” she shared.

The benefits of this practice go beyond relaxation. A study in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology notes that regular exercise can aid in slowing down visible signs of ageing, protecting against certain skin conditions, and promoting overall skin health.

Katrina’s approach proves that beauty isn’t about complicated routines—it’s about consistency, balance, and nourishing both body and skin from within.
