Kareena unintentionally played cupid for Ranveer- Deepika

Kareena Kapoor Khan unintentionally played cupid between Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, married for seven years and parents to Dua, were destined to meet on the set of ‘Goliyon Ki Raasleela Raam-Leela.’ Initially, Kareena Kapoor Khan was to star opposite Ranveer, but she dropped out. Kareena believes her departure was fate, paving the way for Deepika and Ranveer’s romance, and doesn’t regret her decision.

About 7 years ago, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot in holy matrimony, the couple welcomed their first child last year and they named her Dua. The couple dated for 6 years before their marriage and their relationship was exactly what destiny had planned for them. The two of them came together on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Raam-Leela. But at first the two of them were not supposed to work together, the film was earlier planned with Ranveer and Kareena Kapoor Khan. But as luck would have it, Kareena dropped out of the film due to reasons best known to her. At that point, Deepika already had many films on her plate and when Bhansali approached her, her team had to work around her diaries to make her dates free. So when destiny calls – everything falls in place. In fact in a BBC interview Kareena Kapoor Khan opened up about how she unintentionally ended up being the cupid for the couple.

Kareena also revealed that she didn’t regret leaving the film, adding that if she would have been part of the film, it would have been a very different film.
