Angry Salman would say Aishwarya should look at Waheeda Rahman

Angry Salman Khan would say Aishwarya Rai thinks she looks beautiful, 'usko bolo Waheeda Rahman ko dekhe', says Himani Shivpuri

Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan starred together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. While they worked together, they also fell in love offscreen and their relationship was the talk of the town. Though, they never really admitted to their relationship publicly at that point in time. But later when their relationship ended, it was unfortunate because of the turn of events that took place. In a recent interview, veteran actress Himani Shivpuri has opened up on their relationship and what she saw at that point in time. She said during a chat with Red FM about working with Aishwarya for the first time on ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalein’ and later in ‘Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai’, ‘Umrao Jaan’. “She was not very established back then. We were very close then. We would shoot in Hyderabad. This was the time when she and Salman were going very strong so Salman used to come every night and leave in the morning.”

The actress recalled how actors openly shared their feelings with her. She said, “I remember once we were shooting in Film City. Aishwarya was shooting with Abhishek Bachchan for Rohan Sippy’s film, and Salman had come, and he was pissed. He was telling me, ‘Kya hai? Isko samjhao. Waheeda Rehman ko dekhe. Apne aap ko bohot khubsurat samajhti hai’ (You make her understand. She thinks she is pretty. Ask her to look at Waheeda Rehman). I used to tell him to calm down, to stay quiet.”Aishwarya and Salman last worked together in 2002 in ‘Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam’. Later, Aishwarya tied the knot with Abhishek Bachchan in 2007 after he proposed to her at the premiere of ‘Guru’ in New York.
