Sahher: “My mother is the biggest fan of Bobby Deol”

Sahher Bambba:

Sahher Bambba, who debuted with Sunny Deol’s film, now plays Bobby Deol’s daughter in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut. She fondly recalls meeting the Deol family during her initial film and expresses excitement about sharing screen space with Bobby Deol, whose work she admires. She also mentions her mother being a big fan of Bobby Deol.

For Sahher Bambba, life has come full circle as she plays Karishma Talwar- daughter of Superstar Ajay Talwar played by Bobby Deol in Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The actress made her debut in movies with Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass which was directed by Sunny Deol and had his son Karan Deol also make his debut with the film.

Talking about her experience of working with Sunny and Karan Deol , she said “I met Sunny Sir when I was shooting with him for my first film. They literally became like family, because we spent so much time in Manali, just work-shopping and other stuff, and much later we got into shoot. So, by the end of it, it was really like a family kind of an atmosphere,” It was during that time that Sahher also had her first brush with Bobby and Abhay Deol, though only in passing. “I happened to meet Bobby Sir, Abhay Sir, but that time was very brief,” she recalls. Destiny, however, had a bigger plan in store. Years later, when Aryan Khan broke the news that Bobby Deol would be cast as her on-screen father, Sahher was overwhelmed by the poetic symmetry.“And I still remember when Aryan told me that Bobby Sir is going to be playing your father, I was like, life is just coming to a full circle, just sharing screen space with Bobby Sir. I’ve learnt a lot, and I’ve always admired his work. My mom is his biggest fan,” she says with a smile. It seems Bobby Deol is a mom favourite be it Aryan’s mom Gauri or Sahher’s mom Shilpa Bambba. Sahher has had her stints with the OTT platform before as well as she was part of Nikkhil Advani’s The Empire and Habib Faisal’s Dil Bekaraar.
