'Nishaanchi': Ahead of its release, CBFC asks for THESE changes in film; part 2 gets confirmed

Anurag Kashyap is all set for the release of his upcoming film ‘Nishaanchi’. The film stars Aaishvary Thackeray and Vedika Pinto and is set to hit theaters this Friday. Ahead of its release, the Central Board of Film Certification has cleared the film with a U/A certificate. Let’s read further to know more about the development.

CBFC clears Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Nishaanchi’ with a U/A certificate but demanded certain modifications

According to Bollywood Hungama, the Examining Committee of the CBFC has demanded certain modifications in the film while granting the U/A 16+ certificate. While the censor has not asked for any visual cuts, they have ordered changes regarding a particular word.Reportedly, the cuss words used in six scenes have been asked to be modified suitably. The film received the certification on August 21. As per the report, the length of the movie mentioned on the certificate is 176.48 minutes, which means it is 2 hours, 56 minutes, and 48 seconds long.As per the report, the makers again approached the Censor Board after they added a 2-minute and 4-second-long song, ‘Saram Lagela’, to the film. Reportedly, they also added a 58-second post-credit scene. Along with that, at the end of the film, a six-second-long slate stating ‘End of part 1’ was incorporated. Not just that, 17 more seconds were added to showcase the logos of Amazon Prime Video and Zee Music Company in the film. Furthermore, the producers have made a few more changes to the film. The opening credit titles have been replaced as well. The 39-second-long ‘Ee Manwaa’ was replaced with background music. Meanwhile, the song ‘Sunday Ke Maar’ was removed, and replaced with ‘Tohara Naam Dil Pe.’With that, the new runtime of the film has now become 179.44 minutes, that is, 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 44 seconds.

Apart from Aaishvary Thackeray and Vedika Pinto, the film also features Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Kumud Mishra, and Monika Panwar. The film will release on September 19, 2025.
