NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday referred to the Jaish-e-Muhammed commander’s confession video and lauded the military for the success of Operation Sindoor which “brought Pakistan to its knees within the blink of an eye.” In the video, a top JeM commander admitted that the terror organisation supremo Maulana Masood Azhar’s family was ripped apart during the May 7 military operation.Addressing a gathering at Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar on his 75th birthday, PM Modi said: “Abhi kal hi desh aur duniya ne dekha hai fir ek Pakistani aatanki ne ro ro kar apna haal bataya hai. Ye naya Bharat hai. Ye kisi ki parmanu dhamki se darta nahi hai… Ghar mein ghus ke maarta hai. (Just yesterday, the nation and the world saw yet another Pakistani terrorist crying and revealing his condition. This is the new India — one that does not fear anyone’s nuclear threats).”

This is a new India. It fears no one’s nuclear threats,” he added. Masood Ilyas Kashmiri, top JeM commander admitted in a video message that Indian missiles destroyed the group’s Bahawalpur headquarters on May 7 during Operation Sindoor, killing members of Masood Azhar’s family and dealing a devastating blow to the outfit.”We embraced terrorism… fought Delhi, Kabul, and Kandahar to protect the borders of Pakistan. But after sacrificing everything, on May 7, Maulana Masood Azhar’s family was torn apart by Indian forces in Bahawalpur,” he said.Markaz Subhan Allah, the central base of JeM, was among the nine sites hit during the military operation on May 7. The following day, a WhatsApp message from JeM acknowledged that ten members of Azhar’s family had been killed in the strike.
